The hopper system adopts AC servo motor to directly drive the tobacco cutting system, and it cancels the variable speed unit; in the meantime, the timing belts are used instead of the gears, the tobacco-feed evenness is improved greatly．Pneumatic control is adopted instead of the magnetic control, and the stability of the electrical heater is much higher.The improved rod feed-in device can not only perform the function of breaking rod, , it but also becomes the support of the subsequent rod. After breaking the rod, it avoids the failure of rod breakage. The cigarette tip turner of MAX70 machine is adopted to increase the stability of the performance of turning the cigarette tip.The material of the original catcher shield is nonmetal; it is prone to be worn down. The improved material one is metal, with greater endurance.

The control center adopts the PLC of SIEMENS S7-300 SERIES. It relies on PRFIBUS-DP to transmit the signals between the main PLC and valve terminal and AC servo motor.

The original pneumatic system has many control circuitries and the pneumatic parts are easy to be aging. The improved system utilizes centralized and integrated electromagnetic valve terminal. And internationally famous brand of pneumatic components (FESTO) are adopted, overcoming the original limitation and increasing its stability and reliability.

AC servo driving system is adopted to improve the driving system

We utilize the electrical gear function of AC servo driving system, and improve greatly on the driving system of the combination. We cancel the following gear boxes: cut-off, taper drum, suction drive, hopper drive, linkage parts between cigarette maker and plug assembler, instead we use servo motors to drive above-mentioned parts. So the mechanical frameworks are simplified, the failure and the maintenance cost is reduced, and the driving accuracy is improved.
